Day 2: Astana – Almaty (City tour)
Early morning flight to Almaty city (Not Included). Flight up to the schedule. Arrival to Almaty, meeting with the guide and proceed for city tour which include visit to Panfilov’s Park with Zenkov’s Orthodox Cathedral, Great Patriotic War Memorial and Museum of Kazakh Folk Musical Instruments. Almaty may have lost its status as capital of Kazakhstan, but it remains the country’s first city, cultural, educational, tourist and business capital and main transport hub. This beautiful town at the foot of the emerald Tien Shan Mountains is rightly called a garden city. Continue sightseeing tour at Zelonniy Bazar (Green Bazaar), the Abay State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Central Museum with Ethnographic and Archaeological departments and we will see the Independence
Monument in Republic Square, Central mosque and evening visit Kok Tube hill. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Almaty. (B, D)
Day 3: Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Almaty
In the morning after breakfast drive to Charyn canyons. Charyn canyons located about 200km to the east from the city. It is about 154 km long canyon carved by the river Charyn through many layers of various kinds of sedimentary formations. The most ancient ones of them have age about 12 million years. In some places, the height of the vertical cliffs of the canyon reaches 300 meters. You visit the most beautiful place of Charyn Canyon worth to be visited in spite of its remoteness is the Castles Valley. Castles Valley is a magnificent monument erected by the Nature. It is incredibly beautiful virgin valley framed by awesome, looking like middle ages castles, yellow-red sand rock formations on background of bright blue sky. Lunch picnic in the Charyn Canyons. After easy hike in the Canyons drive to Almaty city. Evening arrival. Dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 4: Almaty (Departure)
Morning at leisure. Relaxing time and preparation for the flight back home. (B)
